As you may know, we are the official beer partner for Independent Venue Week for the second year running. As Phil Selway from Radiohead once said, “Small venues are the lifeblood of British music.” and we couldn’t agree more, that’s why we’re so proud to be part of this important celebration for the music industry! Signature Brew are lucky enough to work with some of the best small venues in town, helping to bring forth our ethos. During the run up to IVW 2017 in January we will be taking a look into some of the awesome venues taking part. First up, a venue that’s always been good to Signature... The Black Heart!
Nestled in a Camden backstreet The Black Heart plays host to some heavy bands, such as Bleeding Antlers, Pints and Raging Speedhorn, and at the same time have an incredible beer selection from all over the world. The Black Hearts’ steadfast approach to supporting up and coming bands and promoting small independent breweries is both commendable and important to the community.
You can find Signature Brew beers such as Stagediver and Studio Pilsner in the fridges and occasionally on draft. Overall it’s a pretty rad bar with great taste in beer and music! Head down to The Black Heart this evening to catch Al B. Damned from 7pm and make sure you keep an eye out for the live acts playing there for IVW 2017!
We are happy to announce that for the second time we will be the official beer partner for Independent Venue Week, taking place between Monday 23 – Sunday
Staged across 120 venues around the UK, the seven day-long national event, supported by Arts Council England, is now a firm fixture on the UK’s music calendar giving tens of thousands of fans and hundreds of artists their first taste of authentic independent music.
We will be joining some of the best local breweries at London Brewers' market next Saturday with our full range of cans and some exclusive limited edition gift packs.
The market takes place at Old Spitafield's market alongside the Independent Label market. Beer and music... what more could you ask for?! It's going to be a great day, hope to you see you all there!
Big thank you to everyone who came down and partied with us for our 5th birthday. Hope you all had a good time, we sure did!! And we definitely paid for it the next day!
We had some amazing live performances from Brona Keoghna, Lately La La, The Dusty Groove House Band, The JB Conspiracy, Sonic Boom Six and Chas Palmer-Williams. We had the lovely lads from Off The Wagon providing amazing cocktails and other non beery treats. And Earl's food truck was there to provide some DELISH food for everyone!
We had a great selection of guest ales from our mates at Hackney Brewery, Yeastie Boys, Five Points, White Horse Brewery and Titanic Brewery as well as our own. We also put Roadie, our All-Night IPA, on cask for the first time ever and it went down a storm! Our lead brewer Tibor took some lucky people on brewery tours throughout the day and we had some lovely cakey treats from Helen at Blooming Bakes (check her Instagram, her cakes are amazing!!)
We then headed to the Leyton Star for our afterparty, with some major tunes provided by the awesome guys at Soul Vent Records. It was a pretty big night all round! Check out more photos on our Facebook page.
We would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who helped us out, lent us PA's, put up decorations, and to Pressure Drop for sending us a much deserved case of beer! And to everyone coming down and having some fun with us. It's been a great 5 years so far, here's to the next 5!
We're very excited to announce our considerable attendance at Hospitality in the Park this weekend.
