Overview

We are looking for a new Packaging Manager to join the Signature Brew Crew! This role requires someone who is practically minded, has great technical knowledge, prides themself on attention to detail and displays excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and managing the packaging team
• Adherence to SALSA, COSHH, HACCP and H&S within the team and associated areas
• Taking part in all packaging tasks including canning/kegging/racking casks/housekeeping
• Ensuring products meet spec requirements including can seams, carbonation and DO/TPO
• Coordinating and working shifts and rotas to meet production demand
• Managing annual leave/sickness/absence and conducting staff reviews
• Maintaining SOPs and delivering training as required
• Regular & efficient communication with the sales & operations team
• Packaging stock management and relationship maintenance with suppliers
• Attendance at weekly managers’ meetings and providing weekly packaging updates to the company
• Occasional attendance at beer festivals/collaborations/events on behalf of Signature Brew
• Willingness to lend a hand in other departments when necessary

Desirable experience:

• 2 years experience managing a packaging team at a production brewery
• 3 years experience operating a canning line and kegger
• An engineering background, mechanical or electrical
• Good knowledge of the brewing process and previous cellar experience
• An IBD qualification or equivalent
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks
• Valid forklift licence

Good IT skills including Google Sheets, Docs etc

What we offer

• Salary - £32,000 to £36,000 (depending on experience)
