It’s been an eventful, exciting start to the year here at SBHQ. And it just got a little more exciting and a little more EVENTful. We’re proud to announce our support of Manchester Punk Festival taking place on 20th, 21st and 22nd of April, with Roadie as the beer of the festival.

The festival is a celebration of emerging and established punk bands from all over the world and ran by a group of volunteers who live and breathe grassroots music, brilliant small venues and the vibrant world that is Punk in Manchester. We at Signature Brew share so many of the ethics and beliefs of MPFs promoters, making the decision to get involved a no brainer!

There are too many great bands on the lineup this year to name our favourites but look out for all of the incredible headliners from home and abroad such as Paint It Black and Martha, as well as friends of the brewery Great Cynics.

The ideologies and DIY nature of Punk bear many similarities to the contemporary beer movement in which we see ourselves a part of. Craft breweries are united by a common cause to rail against the monolithic shit pedalled by the world's biggest brands, and whilst in a very different guise to the 70’s and 80’s the Punk movement has never been more relevant in the current global political environment.

The SB team will be in Manchester hosting meet the brewer sessions and soaking up as much of the festival as possible. We can’t wait, see you down the front.
