Blog: Things To Look Forward To In 2021
Although, at times, it felt like it would never happen, 2020 is finally over. Right now, the world needs all the positivity and certainty it can get, so here at Signature Brew we're determined to make sure 2021 is as colourful, culture-filled and exciting as possible.
Oh and there's also the not-so-small detail that 2021 marks 10 years of Signature Brew… so believe us when we say we’re not messing around.
With that in mind, here's a much-needed dose of optimism and a list of all the things we can look forward to in 2021…
So Many New Beers
We'd be lying if we said we weren't incredibly excited about the slew of new beers we're bringing you this year. In 2021 we'll see the return of some fan favourites, but we're also going to bring you plenty of new, never-before-brewed beers.
To be the first to hear about these, make sure you're signed up to our newsletter, and keep an eye on our social channels for announcements.
For now though, here's our Beer Lineup 2021 poster outlining all of the tasty treats coming your way…
Signature Brew's Huge 10th Birthday
Holy moly, how has it been 10 years already? The 'most rock'n'roll brewery in the world' (not our words… the words of Kerrang! magazine, aw shucks) demands a party like never before.
With that in mind, we're going to throw a 10 day music festival at the brewery with unbelievable headliners and some truly groundbreaking band collaboration beers. Believe us when we say you're not ready for what we've got coming.
The Return Of Live Shows …And Even Music Festivals?
2020 was undoubtedly the year of the live stream (watch our favourite live streams of the year here), and although these were hugely innovative and gave us a taste of live music from the comfort of our living rooms, nothing can beat seeing your favourite band with your mates, cold beer in-hand.
It goes without saying that last year was tough on musicians and artists alike, so we're looking forward to being able to support bands, promoters and venues again and play our part in keeping culture alive once more.
We'll host covid-secure, socially-distanced gigs as soon we can and hopefully, with the vaccine already rolling out, we'll bring back full-crowd shows as soon as it's safe to do so.
But in the meantime, you can help too. If you hadn't already seen, there's currently a petition calling for the UK government to negotiate a free cultural work permit that gives artists free visa travel throughout Europe. This is extremely important and is a huge help for touring artists to get their music out there and keep their ambitions financially viable, so if you're looking to get involved then sign it now.
Honestly though, we just can't wait to have a beer in a field with our mates again. The good times will return people, keep the faith and check out the info for Bigfoot Festival. It's going to be a huge celebration of beer and music and you might just see us there…
All Our Favourite Beer Festivals
Another thing that was dearly missed in 2020 was the annual occurrence of Beer Festivals up and down the country, especially ones hosted by our friends in BREW LDN and London Craft Beer Festival.
We can't wait to be able to hangout with our fellow breweries once again, learn from each other and share a beer together.
Beery Events At The Brewery
Our state-of-the-art brewery at Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow, was specifically laid out with gigs and events in mind and ,even during 2020, has established itself as one of London's most exciting new venues.
We're grateful to the artists who played socially-distanced, covid-secure shows here last year and the fans of live music who came down for a slice of normality.
But rest assured, we've got plenty more coming up in the calendar this year, including all-dayers, festivals, gigs and much, much more...
Finally, we just wanted to thank everyone who's supported and shared a pint with us throughout a challenging but heartening 2020. We couldn't have done it without each other – and there's plenty more to look forward to in 2021. See you there.
While you're here, don't forget to give our newest beer Nocturne a try - it's a black IPA we released in collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops at the end of December.
