Anthology First Edition – Shiraz Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
Last winter we filled a single French Shiraz barrel with a portion of the first edition of Anthology, our annual 10% ABV Imperial Stout.
Having aged in oak for a year, the beer has retained its rich, chocolate tones – and developed additional layers of complexity. Expect notes of dark chocolate, rich dark fruit, oak and a clear but not overpowering vinous character. Add in a soft carbonation for a luxurious texture and you have a very special beer that is absolutely not to be missed.
Anthology First Edition is in extremely limited supply and feedback from drinkers so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Don't sleep on it!
