Signature Brew Haggerston is a lively independent music venue in the heart of East London. Right now, we're on the hunt for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our crew and help us keep the good times rolling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our Deputy Manager, you'll be the right-hand to our General Manager, keeping the venue humming along smoothly. Your job? Make sure our guests and artists are happy, the venue is rocking, and we stay at the top of East London's live music scene. This is a hands-on role that needs a strong leader, great communicator, and someone who has experience in the live music industry.

Event Coordination:

• Collaborate with the Events Team to coordinate and execute live music events.
• Ensure seamless event logistics, including artist load-ins, sound checks, and stage setups.
• Oversee event staff to ensure efficient and effective operations during performances.

Venue Operations:

• Manage daily venue operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise bar and floor staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to venue policies.
• Address and resolve any customer or staff issues in a professional and timely manner.

Staff Management:

• Assist in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and creativity.
• Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for events.

Financial Management:

• Work closely with the General Manager to monitor and control venue expenses, stock control and waste.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, such as promotions and special events ensuring the venue achieves budgeted targets.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Implement and enforce venue policies and procedures to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for patrons and staff.

Artist Relations:

• Act as a liaison between the venue and performing artists.
• Coordinate with artists and their teams to meet technical and hospitality requirements.

Promotions and Marketing:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies.
• Utilise social media and other platforms to engage with the audience and promote upcoming events.

WHO YOU'LL BE

• Passion and enthusiasm for craft beer, live music and great customer service
• Live Music Venue management experience
• Experience in stock control and product management
• People management experience
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Experience of running events
• Experience of local marketing including Social Media and content capture
